Maine’s New Forest Economy

The University of Maine in collaboration with the Maine Forest Products Council and FOR/Maine will host a symposium on Maine’s New Forest Economy. Held during National Forest Products Week, the symposium will present information on national trends and innovations in sustainable forestry practices, product technologies, innovative applications and business reinvestment into Maine’s forest economy.

Moderated by Steve Schley of the FOR/Maine Executive Committee, current speaker lineup includes:

  • Adam Costanza, Program Manager of Sustainability Metrics: NCASI
  • Dr. Adam Daigneault, Assistant Professor of Forest, Conservation and Recreation Policy: UMaine School of Forest Resources
  • Dr. Joshua Henry, President and Founder: GO Lab
  • Beth Cormier, Vice President of Research, Development and Innovation: SAPPI North America

This event will be held at no cost, and the general public are encouraged to attend. Registration is required, as the event is limited to 120 guests.
