Roadmap Initiative/Objective

Rising to Meet Maine’s Health Care Needs:

Develop a unified mission statement for human health sciences programs in the college.  Explore new academic programs such as health systems management or public health.

Action Plan Objectives

  1. Develop college-level mission and vision statements for (human) health sciences in the college.
  2. Propose an inclusive process for steps in advancing the proposed vision.
  3. Assess and make a recommendation on the provost’s recent request for the UMaine colleges to work together on developing a degree in health “administration.”

Approach

  1. Assemble a working group of chairs/directors and faculty to complete these objectives and a report by May 2019.
