Boothbay Register advances DMC talk on fishing, farming scallops

Boothbay Register published a University of Maine news release announcing a Darling Marine Center talk about sea scallops and Maine’s fishing and farming industry. Dana Morse, an Extension associate with Maine Sea Grant and the University of Maine Cooperative Extension, will speak at 10:30 a.m. Friday, July 7 
in Brooke Hall. Morse’s work includes educational programming, technology transfer and applied research with a focus on shellfish aquaculture. He develops approaches to integrate commercial fishing and aquaculture for the prosperity of Maine’s coastal communities. The seminar will cover the life history of scallops and possibilities for product development. The talk is part of DMC’s summer seminar series. The complete list of speakers is online.
